1974 | Ludwig Leo
Schleuserinsel, Berlin
The Rosa Röhre (officially Umlauftank 2 - UT2), located on Schleuseninsel in Berlin-Charlottenburg, is a notable scientific facility of the Technical University of Berlin. Designed by Ludwig Leo and completed between 1968 and 1974, this distinctive pink flow channel is a landmark of post-war modern architecture.
It serves as a critical site for hydrodynamic experiments and has undergone significant renovations to preserve its innovative design and structural integrity. Protected as a historical monument since 1995, the Rosa Röhre continues to support advanced research and educational activities.
